Allow the upper 2–3 cm to dry before watering thoroughly and draining; fleshy leaves and stems are vulnerable to overwatering.
Free-draining indoor potting mix with perlite; use a pot with drainage holes.
During active spring and summer growth, use a balanced houseplant fertilizer at the label rate. Reduce or stop feeding when growth slows; never fertilize a dry or stressed root ball.
Aim for 18–26°C indoors; protect from cold drafts and sudden changes in temperature.
Ordinary indoor humidity is usually adequate. Avoid persistently wet foliage in cool, still air.
During darker Metro Vancouver autumn and winter days, check moisture before watering and lengthen the interval as growth slows. Reassess daylight in spring and repot only if roots crowd the container.
Not for eating. Sap may irritate skin; use gloves when pruning if sensitive and keep away from children and pets.
